Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Ambassador of Vietnam to Myanmar

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of Vietnam to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Ly Quoc Tuan at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa here this evening.

Also present together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Vietnamese Ambassador was accompanied by Vietnamese Military Attaché to Myanmar Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Dong and officials.

Cordial discussion focused on the existing cooperation between Myanmar and Vietnam from the time of their national leaders General Aung San and President Ho Chi Minh till the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties that will fall this year, and further strengthening of the friendship and multifaceted cooperation including trade, agricultural, livestock and communications sectors.

After the call, the Senior General and the Ambassador of Vietnam exchanged gifts and posed for a documentary photo together with those present.
