Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attends Defence & Security 2017 for ASEAN countries

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony of Defence & Security 2017 for ASEAN countries at IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok of Thailand this morning, together with military chiefs from more than 40 countries.

On arrival at the IMPACT Exhibition Center, the Senior General and party were welcomed by senior officers from the Royal Thai Armed Forces and officials. After that, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Thailand Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon gave an opening speech and posed for documentary photos together with other military chiefs.

Afterwards, the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who attended the opening of the Defence & Security 2017 for ASEAN countries looked round military equipment and gears on display at the booths. Officials conducted them round there.

Likewise, military chiefs from more than 40 countries also visited the booths. In the afternoon, the Senior General and party attended a luncheon hosted by Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Thailand Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party visited the booths. More than 30 countries have opened more than 400 booths at the Defence & Security 2017 for ASEAN countries.

In the evening, the Senior General and party attended a dinner hosted by Deputy Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Haspong Yuvarnavandhana.
