Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of Singapore to Myanmar H.E. Mr.Robert Chua, who had completed his tour of duties in Myanmar, at Bayintnaung Parlour here this morning.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army).The Singaporean Ambassador was accompanied by officials.
At the call, views on the close cooperation and the exchange of friendly visits between the governments and the Armed Forces of Myanmar and Singapore, Myanmar’s political reforms, the Tatmadaw’s endeavours for internal peace, and the unfair announcement of the Chairman of the UN Security Council on the issue of Rakhine State and the biased news released by the international media were cordially exchanged.
After the call, the Senior General presented souvenir to the ambassador and posed for documentary photo.
