Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Ambassador from EU Office

Nay Pyi Taw, November 16

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E.Mr. Kristian Schmidt, accredited as Ambassador of the European Union, at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa this afternoon.

At the meeting, they discussed relationship between the EU and Myanmar, endeavours of Myanmar on the way to democracy with firm steps, efforts of the Tatmadaw in internal peace-making process, and situations in Rakhine State.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Ambassador of the EU Office was accompanied by officials.
