Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by SAC Secretary General Aung Lin Dway, SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and other members of the entourage, inspected the Hluttaw buildings in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territory this afternoon, and ongoing restoration efforts following damage caused by the Mandalay earthquake. During the visit, he provided necessary guidance.
The Senior General first inspected the damage to the suspension bridge and archway at Gate No. 1, as well as the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Building, the Pyithu Hluttaw Building, the Zabu Thiri Hall, and the Amyotha Hluttaw Building. He was accompanied by Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat and other officials during the inspection.
In response to the reports, the Senior General emphasized the need for systematic and timely repairs to the damaged parliamentary buildings, instructing that the restoration work be completed within the designated timeframe. He also stated that, to ensure long-term durability and structural integrity, construction work must be carried out by technical experts, using high-quality materials. The Senior General also looked into other requirements.
