Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visit officers, other ranks receiving treatments at defence services hospital in Meiktila, attends to their needs

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited officers and other ranks, who sustained injuries during their defence and security duties and were receiving treatments, at the defence services hospital in Meiktila this evening.

During the visit, the Senior General cordially asked them about conditions in which they were injured and their recovery stages one by one and spoke words of encouragement to them before attending to the needs reported by them.

Then, the Senior General presented cash rewards and gifts for them.

The commandant of the hospital reported to the Senior General on history of the hospital, healthcare services for personnel and local residents, specialist healthcare services, diagnosis services, transplant surgery services, mobile health-care services, general staff, adjutant and quartermaster affairs and tasks taken for welfare of personnel at the meeting hall of the hospital.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General said it is necessary to provide healthcare services to personnel and families as well as local residents, and to hold talks on public health and health impacts of consumption of alcoholic drinks during mobile healthcare service provisions. Then, the Senior General inquired about the needs of the hospitals and gave instructions on upgrading administrative and medical buildings of the hospital.

Meiktila Lake Bank (Yangon-Mandalay) road

Afterward, the Senior General and party proceed to Meiktila Lake Bank (Yangon-Mandalay) road and responsible officials reported to the Senior General on damage to the lake bank due to the Mandalay Earthquake and maintenance works. After hearing the reports, the Senior General gave necessary instructions. Then, the Senior General inspec-ted the maintenance works of the lake and gave instructions on systematic maintenance of the lake bank and its pavements and creating sites for physical exercises on the lake bank to responsible officials.

Meiktila District Sports Stadium

Then, the Senior General and party arrived at the district sports stadium of Meiktila District Sports and Physical Education Department and said approvals would be issued to upgrade the sports stadium and its design as it was a district-level one and to be a sports stadium with a grandstand that met district level for the convenience of spectators and gave other necessary instructions
