Families of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) office hold 2025 rainy season fish releasing ceremony

This evening, the families of the office of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air) held the 2025 rainy season fish rel-easing ceremony at the Yezin Dam in Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, to enhance fish resources in the reservoir. Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the event and led the fish stocking initiative.

Also present at the ceremony were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and his wife, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and his wife, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) and his wife, senior military officers from the office of the Comman-der-in-Chief and their spouses, Union-level officials and their spouses, officer trainees from the National Defence College, as well as officers, other ranks, and their families from various departments under the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army).

The ceremony began with the Senior General and his wife, leading the fish release into the Yezin Dam. Following this, the Vice-Senior General, the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and his wife, the Comman-der-in-Chief (Navy) and his wife, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) and his wife, as well as attending officer, other ranks and families, also took part in the fish stocking. Afterward, the Senior General and wife and entourage observ-ed and encouraged the families as they continued releasing fish into the reservoir.

During today’s ceremony, a total of 100,000 fish fingerlings were released, including 5,000 golden Hamilton’s carp (2-inch size), 45,000 Labeorohita, and 50,000 Barbus spp. Since 2011 up to August 2019, fish stocking had been conducted 10 times, and with today’s event marking the 11th occasion, a total of 885,700 fish have been released into the Yezin Dam.
