Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with Prime Minister of India H.E. Mr. Shri Narendra Modi

 Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is in the People’s Republic of China to pay a working visit, held talks with Prime Minister of India H.E. Mr. Shri Narendra Modi at Wanda Vista Hotel in Tianjin at 5 pm local time today.

First, the Indian Prime Minister cordially greeted the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and held discussion with him.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Commission Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission members included in the delegation, union ministers, the Myanmar ambassador to PRC, and senior military officers. The Indian PM was accompanied by officials of the Indian government.

During the discussions, views on peace and stability of the common border, pro-motion of trade, friendship and cooperation between the two governments and enhancement of cooperation between two armed forces, continuous Indian support for the success of the elections in Myanmar and provision of election observer teams from India, India’s support for Myanmar to become an SCO member and promotion of cooperation in multi-sectors.
