Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is in the People’s Republic of China to pay a working visit, received officials led by Vice-Chancellor of Wuhan University of PRC Prof. Gong Wei at Tangla Hotel in Tianjin at 2.30 pm local time today.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Commission Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission members included in the delegation, the Myanmar ambassador to PRC, and senior military officers.
Both sides held cordial discussions on satellite technology, possible areas of assistance Wuhan University can render for generating human resources skilled in technology, history of the uni-versity and foreign students pursuing education there, and technology cooperation between the two countries.
After the meeting, the Senior General accepted a commemorative gift from the vice-chancellor of the university, followed by a group documentary photo session.
