Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets scholarship students learning in Harbin of China

Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in Harbin of the People’s Republic of China during his working visit, met scholarship students who are learning at universities in Harbin, at Shangri-La Hotel in Harbin at 5:30 pm Chinese standard time today.

Also present at the meeting were Commission Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, commission members and Union ministers who accompanied the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Myanmar Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China U Tin Maung Swe, and students.

First, students learning at universities in Harbin introduced themselves to the Senior General.

In his speech, the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar said that as those students are attending training courses in the People’s Republic of China, it much benefits the State. Myanmar-China relation is the best at present. The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization-SCO Summit 2025 Plus and the parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The SCO is playing a key role in peace, stability and development of the world, and Myanmar is expected to become a member of SCO.

During the training period, those students need to learn relevant subjects with their best efforts. At a time when they arrived back in Myanmar, they have to share their experiences and knowledge their learned with those from their departments. If so, their actions will benefit the State. Likewise, they need to share learning experiences, improvement of living standard of Chinese people and their societies with members of relevant work-places. Trainees need to learn proficiency of Chinese languages as much as possible.

Preparations are being made in Myanmar to hold a free and fair election in coming Decem-ber. So, management is being conducted for enabling all eligible voters to cast votes at the election. Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines will be used to prevent errors of voter list and voting frauds. Trainees need to take care of health conditions while learning and must try hard to complete learning process.

The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar fulfilled the requirements of trainees, presented foodstuffs and finan-cial support and cordially greeted them.
