The commemorative honorary dinner for the Mandalay University Centenary Celebration was held this evening at the Mandalay University Convocation Hall. Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended and honored the occasion.
Attending the honorary dinner together with the Senior General were his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Commission Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo and his wife, Commission member Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and his wife, Union Ministers and their wives, the Chief Minister of Mandalay Region, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, academics, rectors, prorectors, faculty members, town elders, current students and alumni.
First, the Senior General, along with his wife and members, arrived at the venue for the honorary dinner ceremony, where they were welcomed and greeted by officials and alumni.
Subsequently, the Senior General, his wife, and other attendees enjoyed the commemorative honorary dinner for the Mandalay University Centenary Celebration together.
Before and during the dinner, students and alumni from Mandalay University, Mandalay Distance Education University, Mandalay Degree College, and Meiktila Education College, as well as students from the University of National Culture and Arts (Mandalay) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, performed with songs and dances.
After the dinner, the Senior General and wife presented honorary bouquets and cash awards to the performers.
Afterwards, the Senior General, his wife, and members watched a performance by the Myo Ma music troupe. The Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and his wife also presented honorary bouquets and cash awards to these performers.
