Acting President of the Re-public of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Chief Minster of Yangon Region, the commander of Yangon Command and officials, this morning inspected construction of more buildings at Myanma Tha-kaung Advanced War Veterans Housing (Laydauntkan) in Dagon Myothit (South) Township of Yangon Region.
When the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myan-mar and party arrived at the housing, Quartermaster-General Lt-Gen Zaw Hein reportedon accomplishment of the guidance given by the Head of State, a plan to build the solar plant for the housing area, efforts to complete the more buildings on time, construcion of the brick drains in the housing to ensure proper flow of water.
In his response, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar said that Myanma Thakaung Advanced War Ve-terans Housing (Laydauntkan) is being built as a model housing with the aim of contributing to development of Yangon city on one hand. It is necessary to improve the drains to have proper flow of water under
the relevant criteria and to unblock the flow of water systematically. Roads in the housingyard must be improved as asphalt facilities. The housing must be facilitated with the school, water and power supply.
Emphasis must be placed on operating livestock and agricultural activities to support food supply of war veterans and families. And, it needs to grow shade and windbreak plants continuously.
The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party visited the housing area by car and cordially greeted war veterans and families residing at the housing.
The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party inspected progress of Shopping Complex being built at the corner of Bayintnaung Road and No 7 Highway near Myanma Thakaung Advanced War Veterans Housing (Lay-dauntkan) and gave necessary guidance to officials.
The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party toured Dagon Myothit (East) and (South), Thingangyun, Thakayta, Tamway, Bahan, Dagon and Kamayut townships by car and gave guidance to officials to supervise shops along both sides of roads to sell goods under prescribed disciplines, manage proper flow of water and improvement of drainage systems in downtown Yangon, implement the green zone systematically, maintain roads to meet the road stan-dards, and keep buildings clean, neat and tidy.
