The high-level delegation led by H.E. Mr. Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, who was on a state visit to Myanmar at the invitation of Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing departed from the Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport for Belarus this evening.
The high-level delegation led by the President of Belarus, was seen off at the airport by SSPC Member Prime Minister U Nyo Saw; Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Mya Tun Oo; Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council; Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Myanmar; Ambassador of Myanmar to Belarus; and other officials.
During the send-off ceremony, an Honour Guard lined the red carpet for the delegation led by the Belarusian President. Cultural troupes and dance groups performed traditional cultural dances for entertainment. Students waved the flags of both nations, and commemorative flags of both countries were planted along both sides of the road. Furthermore, the special flight carrying the high-level delegation led by the President of Belarus was escorted by three fighter jets from the Myanmar Tatmadaw (Air), which accompanied it until the flight exited Myanmar’s airspace.
