The Passing-out Parade of the 67th Intake of Defence Services Academy was held at the parade ground of DSA in PyinOoLwin this morning with an address by Chairman of State Security and Peace Com-mission Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
Also present at the ceremony together with the Senior General were wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Zeya Kyawhtin Htein Win and wife, Commander-in- Chief (Air) General Zeya Kyawhtin Sithu Tun Aung and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, Union level dignitaries, Union ministers and wives, the Mandalay Region chief minister, military command commanders, military attaches of foreign missions in Myanmar, the DSA commandant, officials from PyinOoLwin Station, families and relatives of cadets and guests.
First, the Senior General took the salute of cadet companies and inspected them. Then, the cadet companies saluted the Senior General with slow-march past and quick-march past.
The Senior General presented Best Cadet Award to Cadet No. 36259 Cadet Myat Thiha, Excellent Award in Training to Cadet No. 36224 Cadet Hein Wai Lin, Excellent Award in Studies (Arts) to Cadet No. 36225 Cadet Tint Aung Htoo, Excellent Award in Studies (Science) to Cadet No.36270 Cadet Hein Htet Naing, and Excellent Award in Studies (Computer Science) to Cadet No. 36214 Cadet Htet Wai Yan Aung.

The Senior General delivered the graduation address. (Please see the full text of the address) After taking the salute from the cadet companies, the Senior General left the parade ceremony.
After the parade ceremony, the Senior General met with five cadets, who won outstanding awards, and their parents and relatives at the parlour of the headquarters of the DSA and spoke words of honour.
In his praise of the outstanding cadets, the Senior General said that they won the outstand-ing awards because of their uninterrupted efforts through-out four years of the course in their educational and military lessons and good discipline.
Their efforts are acknowledged and praised with joy together with their parents and relatives. They must continue to make tireless efforts throughout their life for their own progress. They must always understand and need to pay back the debt of gratitude they owe to their parents who had nurtured and protected them since their childhood days to become brill-
iant and the teachers who pro-vided them with knowledge. They must never forget the gratitude they owe to Tatmadaw and DSA which had trained them to become junior military leaders during the four-year period. They should listen to their parents, ensure a happy life for them, and provide all basic needs to the most possible degree as it amounts to paying back their gratitude they owe to them. Likewise, they must try to improve the image of the country and Tatmadaw by having self-control and pursuing the life of a good soldier.
During their service at the Tatmadaw, they must learn to be truly proficient in all levels of trainings to have good support along the life. As current era sees constant technological changes, they must relentlessly pursue intellectual knowledge and technological knowledge for their own good, and become reliable persons for the nation and Tatmadaw.
They must stay away from indulging themselves in the habits that are unbeneficial for them. They must value them-selves and their subordinates, and must prevent the occurrence of any acts that have undesirable outcome. They must be loyal to themselves, their institution and the State and must be dutiful as such acts amount to serving the interest of the State and Tatmadaw.
