Successful holding of multi-party democracy general election
The Senior General said the phase 1 of the election was successfully held in 102 townships on 28 December 2025.
Everyone had witnessed the voters orderly casting ballots as good citizens under their free will, without facing pressures from any sources. Seeing this scene, international monitoring teams gave positive comments, saying that it was a free and fair election. The government is also endeavouring for an election that is free, fair and reputable and emergence of a credible parliament. The phase 2 and phase 3 of the election will be coming soon, and collective efforts must be made for ensuring the voter rights and safety voting.
Voters should choose a person who will serve the interest of their region, nation, race and religion, uphold Our Three Main National Causes, who have the vision for politics, administration, economy, security and rule of law, and who can join hands with the Tatmadaw that will stand as the strongest institution as long as the country exists. The results of the phase 1 had already been released publicly and transparently. Experience gained all along the successive era indicates that the country still needs true politicians who will serve the national affairs in all seriousness.
The development of highquality human resources enriched with knowledge and technical expertise
Regarding education, he noted that final examinations in basic education schools will be held soon. He urged officials and parents to work together to ensure that students can successfully sit for and pass these exams. As parents invest financially in their children’s schooling and students devote significant time to their studies, parents should encourage their children to achieve academic success. Tatmadaw also conducts summer courses such as manners and morals training, basic computer training, and other beneficial programs to ensure that students from military families utilize their summer holidays effectively. Furthermore, students from military families who pass the matriculation examination with honors are being sent on international study tours. Just as the State and Tatmadaw are prioritizing and promoting education, officers and other ranks must also encourage and support their children to achieve academic excellence.
He stated that an analysis of the nation’s history reveals significant past weaknesses in the education system, and a better future for the State must be forged by prioritizing and promoting educational standards. Only through formal schooling can individuals acqu-ire both technical skills and intellectual wisdom. While technical skills produce “capable” individuals, wisdom produces “good” individuals; therefore, efforts must be directed toward developing high-quality human resources who are both capable and good. Referring to the motto “National discipline begins at school,” there is a visible difference in knowledge, expertise, and discipline based on an individual’s level of formal education. Consequently, it is essential to ensure children receive a comprehensive and robust education from a young age.
Also, he stated that politics is linked to education, and national development can only be achieved when the country possesses a wealth of educated human resources. Therefore, efforts are being made to ensure mandatory education up to the KG+9 level to elevate the nation’s education sector. Education is vital for the future of the State; therefore, the implementation of mandatory education up to the KG+9 level is a direct effort to elevate the nation’s educational standards and must be carried out consistently. Similarly, agricultural, livestock, and industrial technical high schools are being opened to produce human resources skilled in these specific fields. He then stated that discussions are underway to introduce basic agriculture, livestock, and industrial subjects into the curriculum for students from Grade 7 to Grade 9 starting in the upcoming academic year. Furthermore, the government is proceeding through democratic means to ensure national stability and the rule of law. He stated that the government is working through democratic means to ensure national stability and the rule of law. He emphasized that only when stability and the rule of law are firmly established can the public enjoy employment opportunities and the country achieve development.
In connection with politics, the country has reached boundary agreements with neighboring countries. For the development of border and ethnic areas, stability and efforts for nurturing intellectuals are essential. Therefore, to ensure nurturing intellectuals in areas where education efforts are weak, the government has been supporting education activities to ensure nurturing intellectuals. To ensure ethnic rights, measures are being taken to raise the education standards and to carry out regional development tasks. Efforts must be made to ensure that ethnic peoples have right perspectives on ethnic and democratic rights. During the term of the upcoming government, such tasks to raise the education standards must be carried out. Measures are being taken to enable the country to take the democratic path stably.
