Acting President of the Re-public of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanied by Commission Secretary General Ye Win Oo and his wife, and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, visited the Maha Wizitayon Monastery in Mandalay this afternoon to pay their respects to the State Ovadacariya presiding Nayaka Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha SaddhammaJotika Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Vicarinda Bhivamsa, who is 98-year-old,Vasa 78.
First, the Senior General and wife, and party paid their respects to the Sayadaw, inquired about his health and the progress and spread of the religion, and provided necessary assistance.
Afterwards, the Senior General and wife presented the Sayadaw with charitable items, medicines, nutritious food, and money from the Navakamma charity, and instructed those responsible to constantly meet the Sayadaw’s health needs.
