Senior General Min Aung Hlaing leaves Nay Pyi Taw to pay goodwill visit to Thailand, attend presentation of the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw Airport this morning to pay a goodwill visit to Thailand at the invitation of Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan and to attend a ceremony to present the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant by the Thai King.

The delegation led by the Senior General was seen off at the airport by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Chargé d’affaires Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong of the Thai Embassy to Myanmar, the military attaché of the Royal Thai Armed Forces (Air) and officials.

The delegation also comprises the Senior General’s wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and the commander of Yangon Command. During the visit, the Senior General will accept the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant and visit significant places in Thailand.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by the Senior General and wife arrived at Wing-6 of the Royal Thai Air Force at Don Mueang Airport. They were welcomed there by Chief of Defence Force of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan and wife, senior military officers of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Myo Myint Than, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Khin Zaw and officials.
