Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Patron of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) Transformed People’s Militia Group U Aung Hkam Hti, holds talks about regional development

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received U Aung Hkam Hti, Patron of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) Transformed People’s Militia Group, at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning to talk about development of the region.

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The patron of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) Transformed People’s Militia Group was accompanied by member of the Central Committee U Khun Myint Aung and Pa-O National Organization (PNO), Hluttaw representatives and officials.

At the meeting, the Senior General said currently, Pa-O region is peaceful and stable and thanked the Pa-O National Organization (PNO) for its efforts. Likewise, the Senior General stressed the need to carry out agro-based business and industries to have achievement contributing not only to peace and stability of the region but also to regional development. To be able to do so, supply of electricity and safe water are very important for the projects. The Senior General urged them to strive for turning out well-versed educated persons from new generation students of the region for development of the region. Universities and schools have been opened in all regions for enabling the youths to pursue education in smooth processes. Students need good health condition to learn education and they have to control themselves for avoiding consumption of liquor, cigarette and betel quid which can harm their health condition. The Senior General called for modeling peaceful and stable Pa-O region to have development.

The Tatmadaw will give a helping hand to the region for development as much as it can. As the country is on the path of multi-party democracy chosen by the people, efforts are being made to restore eternal peace which is of great importance for development of the nation. All ethnics residing in the Union in unison need to participate in the process of achieving eternal peace with Union spirit, brotherly spirit and family spirit based on culturing the spirit of Myanmar. All ethnics should discharge duties for their respective sectors and regions so that they can lead various arenas including administration as intellectuals and intelligentsia. Although they have to compete with other countries as rivals, they should live within the nation with family spirit.

Then, the patron of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) expressed thanks to the State and the Tatmadaw for providing assistance for development of Pa-O region. As all national brethren are in same land in weal and woe, all need to live here in unison. Pa-O ethnics are living in all parts of the nation with brotherly spirit without racism over all national brethren.Afterwards, cordially discussions focused on assistance of the Tatmadaw for agricultural and livestock breeding tasks in Pa-O region, and situation which should be done for regional development.

After the meeting, the Senior General and the Patron of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) Transformed People’s Militia Group exchanged commemorative gifts. Then, the Senior General gave gifts to members of the Patron of Pa-O National Organization (PNO) Transformed People’s Militia Group and posed for documentary photo together.
