Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office and trainees in New Delhi

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a goodwill visit to the Republic of India met families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office (Army, Navy and Air) and officer trainees at the Myanmar Embassy in New Delhi on 28 July evening.

Accompanied by Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Thein Zaw, the Senior General and party arrived at the Embassy, and were welcomed by Ambassador U Moe Kyaw Aung and wife,families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office and officer trainees.

At his meeting with families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office and officer trainees, the Senior General said the goodwill visit is to further cement the goodwill ties between the two countries. Myanmar is exercising the nonaligned independent and active foreign policy in extending friendly relations with all countries. The bilateral relations with neighbouring countries are more important.Diplomatic relations are of vital importance in the international relations. So, diplomats of the embassy and military attaché office who are serving the State interest must work in harmony and unison.

The Senior General continued to say that firmness and stability are needed in marching along the road to multi-party democracy path chosen by the people. He said collective efforts must be made to enhance trade between the two countries. National development cannot be brought by a single organization. All the stakeholders from the producers to distributors must make collective efforts. Diplomats must make efforts through the diplomatic channel to acquire export opportunities for the success of the business endeavours. The Tatmadaw is providing help to the most possible degree for the national economic development. Strenuous efforts must be made for achieving success in serving the country.Diplomats should pay more attention to their job in striving in unity for further promoting the relations between the two countries.

Afterwards, the Senior General presented foodstuff, gifts and cash awards for families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office and officer trainees. The ambassador and wife, the military attaché and families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office and officer trainees accepted them. Families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office hosted dinner to the Senior General and party.After the dinner, documentary photos were taken together with families of Myanmar Embassy and Myanmar Military Attaché Office.
