Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces General Ponpipaat Benyasri hosted a dinner in honour of Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation,who have attended the 7th Thailand-Myanmar High Level Committee Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, on 3 September.
Present at the dinner together with the Senior General were his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and wife,senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Khin Zaw and wife. The Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces was accompanied his wife Mrs.Chirapun Benyasri,Deputy Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen.Bundit Boonyapan and wife and senior military officers of Royal Thai Armed Forces and their wives.
First, the Senior General and wife were welcomed by the Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces and wife. After posing for documentary photo together, they enjoyed the dinner together. During the dinner, cultural troupe of Royal Thai Armed Forces performed songs and dances. After the dinner, the Senior General and wife and the Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces and wife exchanged souvenirs.
They then posed for documentary photo together with members of the troupe. The Senior General and wife presented cash awards and flower baskets to them.
In the afternoon, the Senior General and party visited Thai Rung automobile manufacturer in Bangkok and observed the production process. They were welcomed there by Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces (Retired) Gen. Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan, Head of Thai Rung Dr. Pranee Phaoenchoke and officials, who later presented a report on the products of the company.
Then, the Senior General asked for further information, and officials concerned replied to him. The Senior General and party looked round in the company workshop where they were conducted round by officials. At the meeting hall, gifts were exchanged and a documentary group photo taken.
Thai Rung was established in 1967 and it produces vehicles and spare parts at a low cost. Over 21 models have been manufactured and over 80,000 cars domestically sold and exported. Vehicles, cars, motorcycles, backhoes and electrical goods are being distributed to the Royal Thai Armed Forces, police force and social aid organizations in Thailand as well as 13 countries.
