Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing arrives back from Russian Federation

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior GeneralMin Aung Hlaing who attendedthe Parade to mark the 75th Anniversary Victory Day of Great Patriotic War held in the Russian Federation at the invitation of Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Army General Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu left Sheremetyevo International Airport of Moscow on the morning of 25 June. They were seen off at the airport by Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin, Deputy Director Vladimir Drozhzhov of FSMTC, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Commodore Kyaw Soe Moe, Minister Counsellor of the Myanmar Embassy to Russia U Zaw Lin Naing and officials.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by the Senior General arrived back at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport at 11 pm and was welcomed back by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Nikolay A. Listopadov, Military Attaché Colonel Eduard OKLADNIKOV and officials.

Senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army) who accompanied the Senior General arrived back on the same flight, taking along with 22 scholarship trainees who face difficulties to return to Myanmar from the Russian Federation due to outbreak of COVID-19.

During the trip, the delegation attended the Parade to mark the 75th Anniversary Victory Day of Great Patriotic War, met with military leaders of Russia to hold talks about enhancement of relations between the two countries and promotion of cooperation between the two countries and visited the significant places.
