Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attends ceremony of choice of military arms for 63rd Intake of DSA, takes part in the selection process, inspects local defence services hospital

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony of choice of military arms for the 63rd Intake of Defence Services Academy at the Defence Services Academy in PyinOoLwin and participated in the selection process this morning.

Also present at the ceremony together with the Senior General were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) Gene-ral Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Com-mander of Central Command Brig-Gen Ko Ko Oo and officials. The Senior General and party scruti-nized cadets individually and chose suitable military arms of army, navy and air for them.

After the ceremony, the Senior General and party proceeded to the local defence services hospital and inspected the dentistry and oral medicine department, the ophthalmology department and the cardiology department. Com-mandant Brig-Gen Myo Thant of the hospital and relevant officers from respective departments con-ducted round the Senior General and party.

After hearing reports, the Senior General asked questions on require-ments of medicines and medical equipment, assignments of doctors and other needs of the hospital and fulfilled the requirements before pointing out the needs to organize educative talks for members of the Tatmadaw, their families and local residents on methods for dental healthcare and oral hygiene, to display systematic methods for brushing and taking care of their teeth, to launch awareness-raising campaigns on dental and oral health at training schools of the Tatmadaw and to keep the cleanliness and tidiness of the hospital systematically.
