Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Air Force Air Chief Marshal Chaiyapruk Didyasarin

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force Air Chief Marshal Chaiyapruk Didyasarin at Zeyathiri Villa here this morning. 

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Thai Air Chief Marshal was accompanied by the Adviser to the Royal Thai Air Force Air Marshal Songpon Jangsri, Royal Thai Air Force Attaché to Myanmar Group Captain Pruit Tugesuin and officials. 

During the meeting, the Senior General said Myanmar and Thailand are good neighbourly and friendly nations. The amicable relations between the two armed forces are important for the two countries. The good relations between the two armed forces have contributed much towards the friendship between the two countries. Through the friendly relations between the two nations, efforts could be exerted to ensure border peace and stability. 

The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force expressed thanks for warm welcome to his goodwill delegation. He also expressed thanks and took pride for being awarded honorary pilot medal presented by the Myanmar Tatmadaw (Air) for the first time. He then vowed to make efforts for better relations and cooperation between the two armed forces and between the two air forces. 

Afterwards, both sides cordially discussed exchange of goodwill visits between officials of various ranks, holding of goodwill sports events, cultural exchange, ongoing cooperation between the troops of both armed forces (Army, Navy and Air), bilateral border peace and stability and cooperation in natural disaster prevention. 

Later, the Senior General and the Thai Commander-in-Chief exchanged gifts and posed for a documentary photo together with those present.
