Famous vocalists, musicians perform as part of safeguarding Myanmar musical performing art

It is the duty of each and every citizen  to  safeguard  Myanmar language and Myanmar traditional  performing  arts.  In  the effort  for  catching up with the advancing  age,  it  is  crucial  to preserve Myanmar traditional culture and national character. As a gesture of protecting Myanmar musical performing art,a performance  of  famous  Myanmar musicians and vocalists was held at the Thabin Hall of Zeyathiri  Beikman here this evening. Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu  Kyu  Hla watched the performance.

Also among the audience were Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe and wife, Lt-Gen Sein Win and wife and Lt-Gen Ye Aung and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and wife, senior officer trainees from the National Defence College, officers and other ranks from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their families and famous Myanmar musicians and vocalists.

At the performance, famous Myanmar singers namely U Than Myat Soe, U Tin Oo Lay, U Khin Maung Gyi, Kaytu Win Htut, U Yan Paing Soe, Phoe Thauk Kyar, Maung Tun Min, Daw Tin Tin Mya, Khin Nyunt Yi, Takkatho Lei Lei, Daw Htar, Daw Myint Myint Khin, Daw Cho Pyone, Daw Yi Yi Thant, A-1 Tin Tin Hla, Sein Lei Lei, O Pyae Shin, Hnin Yi Thant and Aye Aye Aung sang songs to the accompaniment of the music band led by lead musician Maung Tun Min and the Myawady band.

After the performing art, the Senior General and wife and party cordilly greeted famous Myanmar singers and musicians and posed for group photo.
