NAY PYI TAW April 7
The final soccer match of all universities under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the prize presentation ceremony was held in the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw this evening and Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing enjoyed the match and presented the championship cup to the winner at the prize presentation ceremony.
Also present at the ceremony were Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and members of the SAC, union ministers, union level officials, the chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior officers, the commander of the Nay Pyi Taw Command, deputy ministers, rectors and professors from universities under the Ministry of Science and Technology in respective states and regions, managers, coaches and athletes of soccer teams, officials and staff of the ministry, officials from the Myanmar Football Federation and sports fan.
During the final match, being the finalists of the championship, team (a) of universities of computer science (Lower Myanmar) and team (a) of technological universities (Upper Myanmar) played relentlessly and team (a) of technological universities (Upper Myanmar) scored the first goal at seven minutes. Then, the two teams relentlessly and team (a) of technological universities (Upper Myanmar) beat team (a) of the universities of computer science (Lower Myanmar) by 4-1.
Then, the prize presentation ceremony was held and the best player prizes were presented by union ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and U Win Shein, members of the SAC U Yan Kyaw, U Shwe Kyein, Dr Kyaw Tun and Dr Aung Kyaw Min and the fourth prize winning team (b) of universities of computer science (Upper Myanmar), the third prize winning team (a) technological universities (Lower Myanmar) and the second prize winning team (a) of universities of computer science (Lower Myanmar) were presented with medals for individual players, honorary prizes and cash rewards by members of the SAC Dr Hmu Htan, Daw Dwe Bu and Admiral Tin Aung San respectively.
Then, medals for individual players of the championship winning team (a) of technological universities (Upper Myanmar) were presented by SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo.
Then, the Senior General presented cash rewards and the championship cup to team (a) of technological universities (Upper Myanmar) and greeted the players warmly.
The soccer championship of all universities under the Ministry of Science and Technology was held as of 28 March with the aim of achieving progress for the Myanmar soccer world and nurturing players for the national team and a total of 14 teams in 4 groups took part in the matches.
