Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on a working visit in the People’s Republic of China, accompanied by the high-level Myanmar delegation, left Beijing Capital International Airport for Harbin by air at 8 am local time, and was seen off at the airport by officials of Beijing municipality.
On arrival at Taiping International Airport in Harbin at 9.30 am local time, the Senior General and delegation were welcomed by an official with the rank of a deputy minister of Chinese government and other officials at the airport.
The Senior General and high-level Myanmar delegation then visited the Harbin Institute of Technology.
They were welcomed by Chairman of Harbin Institute of Technology Mr. Han Jie Cai and officials there.
The Senior General and delegation watched the introductory video clip of the university. Later, they were conducted round the displays on production of missiles, invention of new rockets and satellites through research, success in inventing and testing nuclear bombs for national defence, sector-wise invention and launching of satellites, achievements in space exploration, moon landing exhibition room, launching of spacecraft, and the exhibition room on Chinese space technicians of the successive periods at the space exposition.
Regarding the reports, the Senior General asked for more information, and discussed means to share space technology between Harbin Institute of Technology and Myanmar.
He then signed the visitor’s book of the institute.
The chairman of Harbin Institute of Technology presented a scale model of a space station to the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myan-mar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, who in return presented gifts to him, followed by a group documentary photo session.
In the evening, the Senior General and delegation visited Harbin Electric Corporation, where they were welcomed by officials of the corporation.
They watched the introductory video clip of the corporation and later, were conducted round the displays on installation and production of generators and accessories for hydropower plants, wind power plants, solar power plants, nuclear power plants, and cold-fired power plants, generation of green power energy, manufacturing of electronic apparatus at the exhibition hall.
The Senior General and delegation observed production of machines with AI technology. Regarding the reports, the Senior General identified the areas where the corporation could render cooperation in hydropower generation in Myanmar.
The Senior General exchanged commemorative gifts with officials of the factory.
