Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the Letters of Credence of H.E. Mr. Maziad Mohammed M Al Howishan, the newly-accredited Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the National Defence and Security Council, Nay Pyi Taw, at 11 am today.
They cordially discussed long-lasting diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Saudi Arabia, further strenthening friendship and cooperation, potentials for promotion of bilateal relations between the two countries, the situation on enhancement of investment and trade between both countries, successful holding of the free and fair election in Myanmar, convening the Hluttaw in the near future, and efforts to further promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Myanmar had the documentary photo taken.
Present on the occasion were Commission Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and, Director-General of the Protocol Department U Thet Tun of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
