Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing leaves for Lao People’s Democratic Republic

A Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw Airport this morning for Lao People’s Democratic Republic to attend the parade to mark the 70th Anniversary of Lao People’s Armed Forces Founding Day at the invitation of Lao Minister for National Defence General Chansamone CHANYALATH.

The goodwill delegation led by the Senior General was seen off at the airport by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Charge d’ Affaires of the Lao Embassy to Myanmar Mr. Somphay VONGMAHACHACK, Assistant Military Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Latsamy KEOMIXAY and officials.

The Senior General was accompanied by Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Myint Maw, Commander of Triangle Region Command Maj-Gen Khin Hlaing and officials.

On arrival at Wattay International Airport of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation was welcomed by Deputy Minister for Lao National Defence Major General Phu Vong Vong Phom, Myanmar Ambassador to Laos U Ko Ko Naing and wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Colonel Kyaw Kyaw Min and officials.

During the goodwill visit, the Senior General will attend the parade to mark the 70th Anniversary of Lao People’s Army Founding Day and hold meetings with military leaders of the Lao People’s Armed Forces.
