Regardless of their different ideologies about the affairs of politics, ethnics, farmers, workers and regions, those parties deserve praise and respect for their efforts for national interest. Despite agreement and disagreement, it is necessary to serve the best interest of the country with a common goal. The Tatmadaw’s duty is to protect the State and Our Three Main National Causes is most important. The Tatmadaw must also safeguard above- and under-ground resources and public lives and property. The Tatmadaw is an organization which is always ready for national defence and peace and stability. The Tatmadaw is a part of the State. Tatmadaw members are a part of the people as well. Hence, the Tatmadaw never betrays the State and the people. The country still needs peace and stability on the political and security grounds and development of economy. As the Tatmadaw emphasizes peace and stability to secure internal peace, parties should participate in such a task of achieving peace. Only when there is no armed conflict, will the State enjoy peace and stability to be able to carry out other development tasks. Thus, all need to avoid the causes for hatred. The Tatmadaw is controlling the tasks in patience as much as it can not to cause instabilities. Every country has three drives for politics, economy and defence.Only when economic drive is good, will other sectors march towards the goal. Hence,Myanmar needs to have a good economic drive. Nowadays, as a total of 70 percent of the population are rural people, economic development and earning of income are very important for them. Due to lesser economic and employment opportunities at home, many people go abroad to work. Political parties were urged to participate in implementing the tasks to strive for enabling all the citizens to have convenient livelihoods at home. The Tatmadaw is carrying out military-owned agriculture and livestock breeding tasks for ensuring convenient food supplies for Tatmadaw members and families while selling surplus meat, fish and vegetables to departmental personnel, war veterans and local people at fair prices. Such efforts are being made to contribute towards State economy on other hand. The Senior General urged them to strive for producing foodstuffs and personal goods at home in full capacity. With regard to the amendment of 2008 constitution, the constitution was approved by the majority of eligible voters. Although any country does not have the comprehensive constitution, it needs to be a strong constitution. It needs to amend the weaknesses of the laws at a time when it should be deserved to amend. The Tatmadaw agrees to amend the constitution. But, it needs to amend the constitution in line with the enacted prescriptions. The Tatmadaw is discharging the national politic duty in addition to the State defence duty. The national politics is to carry out any tasks for serving the national interest to be able to fulfill the needs of the people and the State. The Senior General urged all to apply their experiences for the State on a wider scope of knowledge and critical thinking. Political parties should take a leading role for the politics while the Tatmadaw will cooperate with them in State and national causes.

Next, representatives from political parties expressed thanks to the Senior General for giving opportunities to introduce themselves at the meeting. They expressed attitudes of respective parties over present political, executive and economic situations, conditions inside the Hluttaw, needs of restoring internal peace, efforts to amend the constitution in the term of previous government and needs in current era to amend the points of constitution which should be amended under the law. They said they support the stance and endeavours of the Tatmadaw and they are ready to carry out the tasks in unison for the State and the national cause.
