Terrorist attacks of ARSA Bengali terrorists which happened in August and September 2017 did not occur immediately, and it was related to background situations which occurred in 2012 and 2016. The international community needs to enquire about the incidents till emergence of actual occurrences with firm evidences without focusing on accusations and one-sided presentations. The Tatmadaw formed an investigation team led by Lt-Gen Aye Win and it conducted the investigation and took action against the guilty persons. The Court of Inquiry and the Legal Advisory Team which will support the Court of Inquiry were formed under the Tatmadaw Act in order to expose and take action against more crime breakers. And, effective actions were taken against those who offended crime under the law based on the findings of the Court of Inquiry. Those Bengalis fleeing to Bangladesh did not have their rights violated. They fled there not because of difficult living conditions in Myanmar but because of their assumption that it would be better for them to live in the other country.

Although the State chief minister, union ministers and departmental and security personnel tried to prevent them from going there, they made their replies and left in a calm manner. However, when they reached there, they said they fled Myanmar as they were in trouble with intent to be granted asylum in the other country, said the Senior General. He then explained the need to consider true situations, the problem in northern Rakhine State being related to communal conflict and illegal immigration and emigration as all Buddhists, Christians and Muslims live across Myanmar peacefully, and the Tatmadaw’s cooperation in providing facts and data the ICOE wants to know. After the meeting, the Senior General and the commission chair posed for documentary photo together with those present.
