Opening ceremony of Kha Yae Pin Mart (Tatmadaw industrial products shop) and Inwa Bank Limited (Mingaladon Branch) held

Opening ceremony of KhaYae Pin Mart (Tatmadaw industrial products shop) where foodstuff and consumer goods produced by Defence Service factories, Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Limited and Myanmar Economic Corporation are available at reasonable prices and Inwa Bank Limited (Mingaladon Branch) was held in front of the mart in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region this morning, formally opened by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Present on the occasion together with the Senior General were Union Minister for Defence Lt-Gen Sein Win, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the commander of Yangon Command, invited guests, towns elders and residents.

First, the Senior General unveiled the signboards of the mart and the branch. The Senior General and party viewed round the mart. The Senior General heard a report, presented by officials, and looked into the requirements. He also cordially conversed with the shoppers.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party sprinkled scented water on the plaque of the branch and looked round the branch together with the attendees. It is the 64th branch of Inwa Bank Limited. Its banking activities include: providing various kinds of deposit accounts including saving accounts, cash transition, loan disbarment for economic development, issuing payment order, bank guarantee, credit. The bank is providing better services for the convenience of financial services of the people in the whole country.

KhaYae Pin Mart is selling foodstuff and consumer goods produced by Defence Service factories, Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Limited and Myanmar Economic Corporation at reasonable prices. It opens daily from 8 am to 8 pm.

The Senior General and party went to Garment Factory (Yangon) of Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Ltd near Myanma Thargaung War Veteran Housing (Laydaukkan) in Dagon Myothit (South) Township, Yangon Region, this afternoon.

At the meeting hall of the factory, an official reported to the Senior General on functions of the factory. The Senior General said the factory was established to manufacture consumer goods for the public and create jobs for wives and
children of war veterans. The factory needs to produce fine and quality clothes.


On arrival at Myanma Thargaung War Veteran Housing (Laydaukkan), the Senior General heard reports by Quartermaster General Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Commander Maj-Gen Thet Pon and Director of Directorate of Military Engineering Brig-Gen Myo Thant on housing construction, growing of trees for fencing, operation of layer farm and construction of children’s sports ground and a library in the project.


The Senior General stressed the need to meet the set standard and quality of the buildings, grow shade trees, carry out beautifying tasks around the war veteranhousing, establish small industries for creating jobs for war veteran families and extend the farming of layers.


Later, the Senior General and party inspected progress in construction of the war veteran housing and operation of layers’ farm and left necessary instructions.
