Meanwhile, leaders at different levels need to emphasize fair governance and welfare for their subordinates. As discipline is the backbone of the Tatmadaw, servicemen must be well disciplined even in small matters. Individuals must follow the adopted rules and disciplines and do correct things for the sake of themselves and for the improved skills of their own units. Code of dress must also be systematic and military uniforms have been made in particular colour and type. Tatmadaw factories are also making and distributing civilian clothes at fair prices.

As for quartermaster affairs, buildings, roads and fences of regiments and units are built for the security and high living standards of the families of the Tatmadaw. In order to fulfil the nutritional requirements, appropriate ration money and rations are provided and agriculture and livestock breeding tasks are carried out. As the Tatmadaw fulfils the food, clothing and shelter needs of the personnel as much as possible, servicemen are required to behave in accordance with the good practices of military personnel.

The Tatmadaw always encourages the educational development of personnel, their spouses and their children consistently. Projects have been implemented to enable personnel and their spouses who failed to enjoy opportunities to learn basic education due to various reasons to continue their basic education since the 2012-2013 academic year. Measures have been taken to promote the education of offspring of personnel and war veterans by organizing ceremonies to honour outstanding students since 2013.

In order to provide international experience, foreign trips have been arranged for selected outstanding students.
