Delegation led by Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits JSC “Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M.Gorky” in Kazan, capital of Republic of the Tatarstan

The delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Military Attaché Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Moe and officials, visited the shipyard of JSC “Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M.Gorky” in Kazan, capital of Republic of the Tatarstan this afternoon.

On arrival at the shipyard, the Senior General and party were greeted by Executive Director Mr. Vyacheslav Podokaik and officials. At the meeting hall, acting Managing Director Mr. Alexander Emelyushin and officials presented the brief history of the shipyard and the shipbuilding works. After asking for more information, the Senior General and party observed the different stages of ship-building.

The 125-year old JSC “Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M.Gorky” has been standing as a successful company. The company is designing and building all-weather ships of various types by applying modern technology. Apart from shipbuilding, it is also manufacturing other related equipment including apparatus for maritime business and oil and gas industry. Moreover, its Titanium Foundry is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and is producing parts for vessels, aircraft and oil and gas industry. Of the over 1,500 vessels it has manufactured, about 600 were military crafts. It is also exporting its vessels.
