DSA alumni pay respects to their teachers for fourth time

For the fourth time Defence Service Academy alumni of 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th intakes paid respects to their former military and civilian teachers who taught them academic knowledge and military science at Tatmadaw Dhammayone in the south stairways of Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon this morning.

A total of 90 teachers were present at the respect-paying ceremony. Together with Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, in-service and retired military officers of the intakes attended the ceremony.

On behalf of the alumni, Retd Brig-Gen Tin Oo explained the facts about the respect-paying ceremony. After that, Col Shu Maung read out the respect message sent by Vice-President U Myint Swe and Col Aye Thaw, by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Afterwards, the alumni from DSA Intake Nos.15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 paid respect to the teachers in accord with tradition. On behalf of the teachers, Col Thein Myint (retired) spoke words of thanks.

The alumni from respective intakes presented gifts to teachers. After that, the Senior General cordially greeted the teachers. The alumni from respective intakes posed for documentary photos together with the teachers.
