Prize-awarding ceremony of 17th inter-military performing arts,dramatic performance, play and magic show contests organized by Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) held

The prize-awarding ceremony of the 17th inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance, play and magic show contests organized by Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) was held at Sinphyushin hall in the transit centre in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon. Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony and presented the trophy.

It was also attended by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San,Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command,judge maestros, guests and contestants.

First, Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Hsan Oo, chair of Psychological Affairs and Public Relations Committee, presented the awards to No.3 Mobile Public Relations Company which own the first prize in the magic show contest, No.4 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the modern music band contest (troupewise)and No.1 Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit which won the first prize in Myanmar traditional orchestra contest (troupe-wise);Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, to Tayzagone chorus dance troupe from No.2 Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit which won the first prize in the Myanmar choral dancing contest,Nanbonthihabwe Ozi chorus dance troupe from No.2 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the Myanmar traditional (optional) choral dancing contest and Khwinthlwutchinmyarphyint chorus dance troupe from No.2 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the ethnic traditional choral dancing contest; and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win,to Seintharaphu Anyeint troupe from No.1 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the Anyeint performancecontest and seivicemen and servicewomen of Yemanwantkywar Baganthar play troupe from No.1 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the play competition.

Then, the Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented the trophy to No.1 Mobile Public Relations Company in the 17th inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance, play and magic show contests.

The Senior General and those present enjoyed the song titled “Sabeitin-hme”sung by Sergeant Substitute Aye Thuzar Kyaw of No.1 Mobile Public Relations Company who won the first prize in the old song (women) event, the song titled “Sarsositthi”sung by Warrant Officer II San Lwin of No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company who won the second prize in the modern song (men) event, the best performance of dual dances presented by Private Aye Min Tun and Sergeant Substitute Nweni Win of No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company who secured the first prize in the dual dance event, Nanbon-thihabwe Ozi chorus dance by servicewomen from No. 2 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the Myanmar traditional culture(optional) choral dance event, the song with the title of Tatmadaw for the people composed by Sergeant Kyaw Kyaw of No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company who won the first prize in the song composing event sung by Sergeant Substitute Aye Thuzar Kyaw, the best magic performances by No. 3 Mobile Public Relations Company which won the first prize in the magic show (troupewise)event, the tunes of standard time, tunes of oboe and large drum,and the best playing of orchestra by No. 1 Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit which secured the first prize in the Myanmar orchestra (troupewise)event, Anyeint performances of No. 1 Mobile Public Relations Company which bagged the first prize in the Anyeint (troupe-wise)event and the song titled “Myanmar citizen” by contestant servicemen and servicewomen.

The Senior General presented cash award to the contestant servicemen and servicewomen and judge maestros. On behalf of the servicemen and servicewomen,Private Aye Min Tun and Sergeant Substitute Nweni Win accepted the cash award while Advisors U Tin Tun Oo and Daw San Nu, on behalf of the judge maestros, accepted the cash award. Then, the Senior General and party cordially greeted the judge maestros, servicemen and servicewomen.

In the evening, the second part of the prize presentation followed. It was attended by Director of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief(Army) Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi, senior military officers, judge maestros,guests and contestant servicemen and servicewomen.

First, advisors U Thet Swe and Daw San Nu awarded the servicemen and servicewomen who won the special prizes and third prizes in the respective events, judge maestros U Tin Oo Lay and U Aung Tin Win, second prize winner servicemen and servicewomen and advisor U Tin Tun Oo, Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun and Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi, the first prize winners in the respective events.

On behalf of the judge maestros,advisor U Tin Tun Oo reported on assessment over the contests. Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi reviewed the holding of the contests and gave necessary instructions and presented gifts to the judge maestros.

The inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance, play and magic show contests organized by the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) are held yearly with participation of servicemen and servicewomen from the Myawady music bands and mobile public relations companies. The contests aim to preserve Myanmar traditional culture and fine arts with greater development and stage performances with high standards at the State and the Tatmadaw levels. A total of 266 contestant servicemen and servicewomen participated in the 35 events ofthe contests including old song,modern song, current song, Anyeint performance, dancing, Myanmar orchestra, Myanmar traditional culture (optional) chorus dance, dual dance, play, modern music band,magic show and song composing events.
