Currently, the role of women is broadening and there are women leaders, top level officials and brilliant scientists. In Myanmar also, many women are taking the important positions. We have paid attention to calls for promoting women role at UN and international meetings. When independence was regained, the Tatmadaw appointed servicewomen in arms corps. But due to various reasons, they were assigned duties only in medical corps. Now, we are training women officers and other ranks. This means we are turning out military leaders. In giving training, military training works are being carried out in a systematic management manner. During the course, they as officers need to learn what they need to know and be proficient in military skills, leaderships and subjects.

In realizing their ambitions, they must work hard and maintain morality. Position will be different based on hard work, discipline following, good heath and duties. As they are young, educated leaders, they need to cultivate leadership spirit. To become correct leaders, they also need to follow command and order. Moreover, it needs to always read books and publications for widening their scope of knowledge. Every Tatmadaw leader must have attitude to develop the country. The Senior General urged them to culture leadership spirit with self-control and endeavours for improvement of their lives to become good leaders of the Tatmadaw.

In the evening, the Senior General and party arrived at War Veterans Housing (Yangon). At the briefing hall, the commander reported on construction of the war veterans housing and settlement for them.
