NAY PYI TAW May 7
At the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Putin, a high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, left Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport by special flight this morning to attend the 80th Anniversary Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) to be held in Russian Federation.
The high-level Myanmar delegation led by the Senior General and wife was seen off at the airport by Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, Daw Than Than Nwe, SAC Secretary General Aung Lin Dway and wife, SAC members, union ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chair, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, and officials of the Embassy and Military Attache Office of the Russian Federation.
The Senior General and wife were accompanied by members of the delegation, SAC Joint Sec-retary General Ye Win Oo and wife, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye, Dr Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Comman-der-in-Chief, deputy ministers, military and civilian officials.
During the visit, the Senior General will attend the 80th Anniversary Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and relevant events, hold exclusive talks with the dignitaries who will attend the events and work toward strengthening of strategic cooperation in econo-mic, security and multiple sectors between the two countries and the two peoples.
Similarly, wife of the Senior General Daw Kyu Kyu Hla will hold talks with Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Mrs. Valentina Matvienko and Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance Ms. Anna Nesterova.
On arrival at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow at local time afternoon, the Senior General and delegation were warmly welcomed by Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Russia Mr. Andrey Rudenko and officials, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Thit Lin Ohn and Myanmar Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Oo.
The welcoming ceremony was flanked by the Guard of Honour of Russian Federation all along the State-level occasion.
