Ghanaian President sends message of condolence to Myanmar’s Head of State

President of the Republic of Ghana H.E. Mr. John Dramani Mahama sent a message of condolence to Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing for extensive loss and damage in addition to loss of lives and injuries in the powerful Mandalay earthquake.

The message stated that on behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Ghana, deep sorrow and condolences were expressed to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar regarding the powerful earthquake that struck Myanmar on Friday, 28 March 2025. The message conveyed heartfelt sympathy for the loss of lives, homes, and property, as well as for those injured and affected by the disaster. Thoughts and prayers were extended to the bereaved families and the injured. The Government of Ghana affirmed its solidarity with the Government and people of Myanmar during this difficult time, and expressed sincere wishes for the health and well-being of the people of Myanmar, with continued respect and goodwill towards Your Excellency.
