Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Joint Executive Chief of the National Defence and Security Council General Ye Win Oo, members of the entourage and officials, went by car from Yangon to Nay Pyi Taw along the expressway and inspected the damage of the road section caused by the earthquake this afternoon.
During the tour, the Senior General inspected the maintenance of the conduit at milepost 94 and gave necessary instructions on reports of officials.
Then, the Senior General and party arrived at the guesthouse of the Ministry of Construction and gave necessary instructions on planting evergreen trees on 200-foot road areas of both sides of the expressway, planting two or three rows of windbreakers 10-foot away from the expressway, planting trees in forest reserves in this rainy season, establishing small forests of about five to ten acres, taking action against illegal restaurants and other buildings constructed illegally in accordance with the Expressways Law, prevention of illegal road joining the expressway and construction of roads joining the expressway in accordance with the Expressways Law and rules and regulations, development of the project to upgrade the expressway into a four-lane road and other needs.
Then, the Senior General and party proceeded along the expressway and inspected the reconstruction of the Swar Creek Bridge before giving necessary instructions on systematic construction of the bridge, retaining walls of the creek, maintenance of the waterway and other needs.
The Senior General and party arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening.
