The National Defence and Security Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony for 2025 at the Agga Dipati Sasana Beikmandawgyi in the premises of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territory this morning. Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Chair-man of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attended the ceremony and donated kathina robes and offertories.
Also present to pay respects to the 27 Sayadaws led by Chair-man of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Patron of Minkyaung Pahtamabyanpariyatti school in Thanlyin Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candiama Bhi-vamsa, Secretary of SSMNC Patron of Masoeyein Taikthit monastery Sayadaw of Dhamma Thamaindi Pariyatti school Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Maha Dhamma Kahtika Bahujana Hitadhara Bhaddanta Vaselabhivamsa and Oavadacariya Sayadaws of Board of Trustees of Uppatasanti Pagoda together with the Senior General and wife were SSPC Vice Chairman Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, SSPC member Prime Minister U Nyo Saw and wife, SS-PC member Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dway and wife, SSPC Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo and wife, SSPC members and wives, union level dignitaries, union ministers and wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chair, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander and officials.
The Senior General paid homage and presented a meal in Emerald Bowl, flowers, water and lights to the Naungdawgyi Buddha Image in the Agga Dipati Sasana Beikmandawgyi.
The Senior General and wife and attendees looked around the kathina robes and offertories hung on decorated stands.

According to the agenda, the congregation opened the ceremony by reciting namotassa three times and received the Nine Precepts from the SSMNC Chairman Sayadaw. Sayadaws recited religious sermons.
The Senior General and wife presented kathina robes and offertories to the SSMNC Chairman Sayadaw, and also presented the same to Sayadaw Bhadddanta Vajirapani Linkarabhivamsa of Seinyaza Sasana Linkaya religious school, the kathina offerings recipient monastery, in PobbathiriTownship, Nay Pyi Taw.
The Vice-Senior General and wife presented kathina robes and offertories to SSMNC Secretary Sayadaw.
The Prime Minister and wife, the Executive Chief and wife, the Joint Executive Chief and wife, SSPC members and wives, union level dignitaries, union ministers, and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief presented kathina robes and offertories to Sayadaws re-spectively.
The Senior General and wife and the congregation revered the kathina question and answer session conducted by member of Nay Pyi Taw Area Sangha Nayaka Committee Section Head Sayadaw Ganthavacaka Pandita Bhaddanta Kontana of Ngwedaung Tawya monastery in Tatkon and State Working Committee of the Sangha Sayadaw Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Bhaddanta Tssa of Ohndaw monastery, Pyinmana.
The SSMNC Secretary Sayadaw delivered a sermon and merits gained were shared.
After concluding the ceremony with the recitation of Buddha sasanam ciramtithatu three times, the Senior General and wife and the congregation offered day meal to Sayadaws led by the SSMNC Chairman Sayadaw.
At the ceremony, the NDSC donated 49 decorated stands with Ks-791,910,50 worth of in-kinds and Ks-885,993,50 worth of cash, totalling Ks-167,790,400.
