Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the Credentials from the newly accredited Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Myanmar H.E. Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin at the parlour of the Credentials Hall of the Office of the National Defence and Security Council here at 11 am today.
They then cordially discussed further improvement of friend-ship and cooperation between the two countries, exchange of goodwill visits between the heads of state of the two coun-tries, promotion of cooperation in education, defence, tourism, and civil aviation sectors, humanitarian aid programs, Myanmar’sabidance of the ASEAN Charter as a member state and its non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, holding of a free and fair multi-party democracy general election in Myanmar and invitation of international election observer teams.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the ambassador of Brunei Darussalam posed for documentary photos.
Also present were SSPC Secretary General Ye Win Oo, SSPC member Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Director-General of the Protocol Department U Than Htwe.
