78th Anniversary of Independence Day honorary dinner and entertainment hosted

Acting President  of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted the dinner to honor the 78th Anniversary of Independence Day dinner and the entertainment ceremony in front of the Office of the National Defence and Security Council in Nay Pyi Taw this evening.

First, SSPC member Prime Minister Zeya Kyawhtin Thray Sithu U Nyo Saw and his wife and union ministers and their wives greeted the Senior General and his wife.

Then, the Senior General and his wife arrived at the lawn in front of the honorary hall and frankly greeted the chairmen and representatives of political parties, ambassadors and charge de affairs of foreign missions, honorary counselors and specially invested guests.

Then, the Senior General and his wife watched the firework display with the attendees.

Afterward, the Senior General and his wife and party enjoyed the dinner together with the guests. Before and during the dinner, artists from the MRTV of the Ministry of Information and the Fine Arts Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture entertained the guests with music.

Afterward, the Senior General and his wife, along with the attendees, enjoyed the variety show held in the honorary hall.

After the show, the Senior General and his wife presented flower baskets to the singers and artists from the Ministry of Information’s MRTV and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture’s Department of Fine Arts. They then warmly greeted the guests attending the honorary dinner.

The dinner was also attended by Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win, Commission Member and Prime Minister Zeya Kyaw Htin Thray Sithu U Nyo Saw and his wife, Commission Member and Chief Executive U Aung Lin Dway and his wife, Commission Secretary General Ye Win Oo and his wife, union-level dignitaries and their wives, union ministers and their wives, union-level organizations. Also present were the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, foreign ambassadors and charges d’affaires, honorary consuls, recipients of honorary titles, heads of departments, chairmen and representatives of political parties, ethnic representatives, artists, non-governmental organizations, and specially invited guests.
