A dinner commemorating the special convocation ceremony to confer Honorary Doctor of Public Administration (D.P.A. Honoris Causa) on Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing by the Yangon University was hosted at YU Convocation Hall this evening.
Present were Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, SSPC Secretary General Ye Win Oo and wife, SSPC members and wives, union ministers and wives, the Yangon Region Chief Minister, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, the Yangon Command commander, deputy ministers, the Yangon University rector, specially invited rectors of international universities, honorary professors, professors, honoured guests and officials.
The Senior General enjoyed the dinner together with the attendees.
During the dinner, students from Yangon University, Yangon University of Education, Yangon University of Foreign Languages (YUFL), Yangon University of Economics, East Yangon University, and the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon), together with well-known national singers, entertained the guests with musical performances, songs, and traditional dances.
After the dinner, Prof. Andrey Dragomirovich KHLUTKOV, Director/Principal of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, St. Petersburg, and Prof. Kaigorodov Evgeny Vikorovich, First Vice-Rector of Altai State Pedagogical University of the Russian Federation, presented commemorative gifts to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
At the end of the ceremony, the Senior General and his wife presented bouquets and honoraria to the students who had performed and greeted them warmly.
