Acting President of the Re-public of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by State Space Corporation “Roscosmos” Director General Mr. Dmitry V. Bakanov of the Russian Federation at the parlour of Zeyathiri Villa here this morning.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were SSPC member Prime Minister U Nyo Saw, SSPC Secretary General Ye Win Oo and officials. The “Roscosmos” director general was accompanied by Ambassador of Russian Federation to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov, the “Roscosmos” deputy director general and officials.
At the call, views on matters relating to enhancing space technology cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, strengthening cooperation between “Roscosmos” of Russia and Myanmar Space Agency, efforts to develop space technology in Myanmar, launching of satellites in the interest of Myanmar and its people, human resources development in space technology for Myanmar, cooperation in satellite communication technology, visits of interested youths to Space Museum (Yangon) that had been upgraded, research and use of outer space with peaceful purposes between the two countries, efforts to improve new generation’s knowledge on space technology, and sending scholars for space technology were cordially exchanged.
After the call, Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission,Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the “Roscosmos” director general exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for documentary photos together with attendees.
