Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Chen Hai, accredited as Ambassador of China to Myanmar, at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, this morning.
Also present at the meeting together with the Senior Gene-ral were Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and senior military officers. The Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar was accompanied by Chinese Military Attaché to Myanmar Sr. Col. Xiong Shaowai and officials.
At the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on im-provement of relations and coope-ration between the two countries and the two armed forces, progress of multi-party democracy chosen by the people in Myanmar and efforts to achieve eternal peace, support of China to efforts of the government and the Tatmadaw in solving the issues in Rakhine State in the international arena, progress in cooperation between the two armed forces for ensuring peace and stability of the border region between the two countries, the matters to be mutually cooperated by Myanmar and China, and enhancement of cooperation between the two armed forces.
