Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing leaves Nay Pyi Taw to attend 16th ACDFM in Thailand

A Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw Airport this morning to attend the 16th ACDFM to be held in Thailand.

The delegation was seen off at the airport by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief(Army), the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command,Charge’d Affaires of the Thai Embassy to Myanmar Mr.Narong Boosatheanwong,the military attaché of the Royal Thai Navy, the military attaché of the Royal Thai Air Force and officials.

The Senior General was also accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). During the tour, the Senior General will attend the 16th ACDFM,make discussions with the Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and visit famous places in Thailand.

Upon arrival at U-tapao airport in Pattaya, Thailand,the Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was welcomed by Major General Nopadon Mungkalaton of the Royal Thai Armed Forces,MyanmarAmbassador to Thailand Daw Ei Ei Tin, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army,Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Khin Zaw and officials.

Then, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Ponpipaat Benyasri at the parlour of the Royal Cliff Hotel and they frankly discussed matters relating to friendship and cooperation between the two armies and cooperation in ASEAN. After the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and General Ponpipaat Benyasri exchanged gifts and they had a group photo taken together with senior military officers of the two countries.
