1. The landslide in the block of the gems mining company near Whaykha Village of Hpakant Township in Kachin State left 123 persons dead and 31 persons injured
till 6 pm today. Tatmadaw members, administrative bodies, members of auxiliary fire brigade and social organizations are carrying out search and rescue tasks.
2. The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services was deeply regretful for the event of losing many human lives, and the Tatmadaw, on its part, hereby released that it
will continuously give a helping hand to necessary search and rescue tasks.
