Coordination meeting on accomplishments of Union government  continues for second day; Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gives necessary guidance

The coordination meeting on the accomplishments of the Union government continued for the second day at the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office this morn ing. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gave necessary guidance.

Also present were SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, SAC members, the Secretary and the Joint Secretary, Union-level officials, Union ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, chief ministers of regions and states, chairman of self-administered areas.

According to the meeting agenda, the chief ministers and self-administered area chairmen reported on area-wise administration, security and the rule of law and accomplishments in social,  economic, education, health, farming and development undertakings and future programs, and Union ministers, on missions and visions, progress of work, future programs, international cooperation, ensuring peace and security for national  economic growth with the help of powerpoint.

In giving guidance, the Senior General pointed out the importance of food sufficiency in regions and states. He said paddy should be prioritized while the focus should be on the increase in per acre yield. Support must be given to production businesses based on agriculture and breeding. Ks-400 billion have been set aside from National Disaster Management Funds of the Ministry of Planning and Finance for a special fund.

The State will provide financial support for current year’s priority  crops including summer paddy and green beans and will provide farmers with fertilizers, seeds and fuel. The State must sponsor export programs for the produce. Benefits for farmers will depend on the yield of the said two crops. The project will help improve the socio-economy of farmers as they are free from financial risks. He also gave guidance on other matters.The meeting adjourned in the evening.
