After hearing the reports, the Senior General discussed fish breeding tasks, production, marketing, performance of staff and support for them, saying the government is encouraging businesses to boost the economy of the country and emphasis is placed on agriculture and livestock breeding tasks to do so. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage manufacturing industries based on agriculture and livestock breeding. In carrying out livestock breeding tasks, meat production is based on breeding chickens, pigs, goats and cattle.

It is necessary to apply modern livestock breeding techniques rather than traditional methods in livestock breeding. There are three methods of raising animals including shedbreeding, pasturebreeding and shed/pasture breeding. Among them, shedbreeding is the most systematic and best method.

The government has adopted two national objectives such as prosperity of the country and sufficiency of food, water and basic needs. The second objective of sufficiency of food, water and basic needs is being implemented. It is necessary to produce meat and fish sufficiently to enable all social classes of people to consume them at reasonable prices. Systematic fish breeding will contribute to sufficiency of food, water and basic needs and it is necessary to carry out systematic fish breeding in the entire country. Only then, will all social classes of people be able to consume fish at reasonable prices.

All human beings want to see progress in life and it is necessary to create opportunities for people in their employment and to improve their skills at performing their duties. Taking the nature of human beings into consideration in workplaces will be more beneficial.

The government is taking measures to boost the economy of the country and as the strength of a country lies within, it is necessary to implement projects with minimum foreign assistance. It is beneficial for the country if projects are implemented successfully by utilizing domestic investment as much as possible. Livestock breeding can contribute a lot to the development of the country. The government has guaranteed to offer assistance to businesses and the economy must be boosted by concerted efforts.

As regards human resources, the State is trying to improve the education standard of the people by opening universities and colleges where respective branches with higher skills are being taught. In the coming academic year, courses on agriculture, livestock breed-ing and technology will be conducted at basic education high schools in 50 districts of the country. For a further step, those courses will be conducted in all parts of the country to turn out those skilled in agriculture, livestock and MSME industry. Efforts are being made to ensure that the whole nation receives free KG+9 education. Only an educated nation can improve human resources. So, education must be encouraged.

It is heartening that this project has created a lot of job opportunities. Such projects should be implemented in all the regions and states. The State will provide necessary assistance in accord with the procedures. Fish farming needs research so that it can be carried out across the country. The country will earn foreign exchange if it can export livestock products. Manufacturing and exporting value-added products rather than raw materials will yield more benefits. Manufacturing valueadded products require capital, human resources and technology. With the fulfilment of those requirements plus already-existing sources, the country will progress very much. I wish for greater success in doing business and the State will provide as much assistance as it can.
