Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Director of Directorate of Joint Operations of Royal Thai Armed Forces Lieutenant General Jakkapong Janpengpen at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa here this morning.
Present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Joint SAC Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. Lieutenant General Jakkapong Janpengpen was accompanied by senior officers of Royal Thai Armed Forces and Thai Military Attaché (Army) Senior Colonel Thanwit Yomchinda.
At the meeting, views on promotion of existing friendship and cooperation between the two nations and armed forces, bilateral cooperation in ensuring peace and stability and the rule of law, anti-narcotic drugs operations and elimination of online gambling and telecom frauds at the border and further extension programs, especially, bilateral cooperation in eradicating the online gambling and telecom frauds near Myawady at the common border, exposed through investigation, bilateral political cooperation between the two countries and security cooperation between the two armed forces to ensure smooth and secure flow of border trade, extended cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance, and information sharing were cordially exchanged.
After the meeting, Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Lieutenant General Jakkapong Janpengpen exchanged commemorative gifts and posed for documentary photo.
